Complete Inner Purification in the Himalayan Foothills

Shatkarma (षट्कर्म), meaning “six actions” in Sanskrit, represents one of the most profound and systematic approaches to internal purification found in classical yogic texts. As eloquently described in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika (2:22):

धौतिर्वस्तिस्तथा नेतिस्त्राटकं नौलिकं तथा।
कपालभातिश्चैतानि षट्कर्माणि प्रचक्षते ।।

Dhautirvastistatha netistratakam naulikam tatha |
Kapalabhatischaitani shatkarmani prachakshate ||

Dhauti, Basti, Neti, Trataka, Nauli, and Kapalabhati – these are proclaimed as the six purification practices.

This retreat offers what luxury city spas cannot – the profound transformation that comes from authentic yogic practices in their natural Himalayan environment, guided by masters who have dedicated their lives to this ancient science of purification. You will return not merely cleansed, but fundamentally renewed in body, mind, and spirit, carrying within you the timeless wisdom of the sages and the pristine energy of the Himalayas.

Retreat Benefits:

The systematic practice of Shatkarma under expert guidance yields remarkable physiological and psychological benefits validated by both ancient wisdom and modern research. Participants experience enhanced respiratory function through nasal cleansing (Neti), improved digestive fire and elimination through stomach cleansing (Dhauti), strengthened core vitality via abdominal massaging (Nauli), balanced nervous system through colon cleansing (Basti), increased mental clarity via skull brightening (Kapalabhati), and heightened concentration through focused gazing (Trataka). Beyond these specific benefits, the comprehensive approach harmonizes the pranic flows of Ida and Pingala nadis, creating optimal conditions for spontaneous healing, emotional release, and spiritual awakening. Our unique jungle-immersive environment amplifies these benefits through continuous exposure to phytoncide-rich forest air that naturally boosts immune function while our cool Himalayan microclimate prevents the energy depletion common in tropical detox destinations.
